Description of the breeds<\/h1>\n

Cameros cheese is made from milk from goats of the following breeds and their crosses: Serrana, Murciana \u2013 Granadina, Malague\u00f1a and Alpina.<\/p>\n

They feed on natural pasture which due to differences in character has an influence on the sensory aspects of the cheeses. The goats are put out to pasture daily throughout the year, except at the time when they are giving birth to their kids, when the she-goats spend their time looking after their young. This diet is supplemented with other products such as straw from cereals, vines, olive branches, almond husks, beet pulp and scraps from vegetable patches.
